Magic Dad at Frederick Elementary, 2003
It is easy to add a theme to the magic show, which makes the show perfect for School Shows (Reading is Fun, Just Say No) or Library Shows (It Pays To Read, Reading is Fun!).
Themes can also be added for religious themes. While some in the religious community are afraid of magic, I think it is because they have been exposed to the scary or offensive type of magic (magicians call this "bizarre magic").
My type of magic, tricks with a heaping splash of humor, is perfect for a church group of kids.
For church groups, I can do two types of shows: religious themed or traditional magic.
I have numerous tricks which have a religious theme, but those are optional. For many church groups, I perform a traditional magic show with one or two religious-themed tricks. I find the kids remember the religious theme better, if there are fewer themes, preferably just one.
For Bible School Magic, I prefer to present a show focusing on one specific message, God Loves Us, Forgiveness, etc. For a week long bible school program, I could do a show at the end of the week.
