How Much Will It Cost?

It depends on a lot of factors. I do many types of shows, and they have very different requirements. For example, most birthday parties I can bring my materials in a case, and can set up in two minutes. For larger groups (schools, library shows), I need larger props, so it requires an hour to set up. For a full stage show, it takes all day with several assistants to set up the large props.

To give you an idea about my costs, please consider:

For a one hour show:

Prepare my props as many are fragile and need to be replaced after each show (60 minutes)

Set up the stage area and unpack (30 minutes)

Perform (60 minutes)

Pack up stage area (30 minutes)

and Travel time.

Even for a show in my neighborhood, it will involve a minimum of three hours of my time (plus practicing).

 

It also depends a lot on travel time and expense. I live in Edmond, Oklahoma. Travel costs are usually 50 cents a mile (but with fluctuating gas prices, this may vary).

For schools and/or library shows, my fees are usually determined by the restrictions on the grant money given for such purposes. I make adjustments as needed.

For a full stage show, the costs are much greater, as is the time and commitment to making a show like that a success.
